Why Jack russell?

Jack russell terrier

Jack Russells love beaches, water, walks, and mountains. They are dogs that perfectly adjust to their person. They require attention and affection, and in return, they offer surprise kisses, sand on the couch, and lots of love. They are wonderful, compact, and very intelligent dogs. When well-trained, they can be excellent companions for everyday life. The Jack Russell Terrier is a self-confident yet cheerful and friendly dog – both towards people and other dogs. In our kennel, you can meet dogs that feel great both in a home with children and in an active family looking for a companion for long walks, trips, or sporting adventures.

Always ready for action!

True "volcanoes of energy" – always ready to play. Perfect for families who enjoy outdoor activities and long walks with their dog.

Inteligent

They quickly learn commands, love agility and dog sports. Training them is an adventure full of satisfaction, but it requires patience and creativity.

Full of energy

Loyal, alert, and devoted. Although they can be stubborn, their love for the family is unconditional. They love sharing relaxing moments together after a day full of adventures.

01

Character and temper

Jack Russell Terrier is a dog with an extremely lively and joyful character. Its energy seems endless – it loves play, exploration, and all forms of physical activity. This breed is perfect for families with children as well as people who lead an active lifestyle. Jack Russell Terriers are intelligent, curious about the world, and always ready for new challenges. Although they can be stubborn, their willingness to cooperate with humans makes them learn new commands and tricks quickly. However, it is important to remember that these dogs need consistent training and a lot of attention to properly channel their temperament.

02

Apperance and markings

Jack Russell Terriers come in three color patterns — white and brown, tricolor, and white and black. It is very important that white is the primary color. The Jack Russell’s nose is always black, and the eyes are dark, lively, and sharp, perfectly reflecting the breed’s character — bold, curious, and confident.

03

Maintenance and health

Jack Russell Terriers are generally healthy dogs. Occasionally, they may suffer from allergies. Potential hereditary diseases such as primary lens luxation (PLL), late-onset ataxia (LOA), and juvenile brain disease (JBD) can be ruled out by genetic testing, which responsible breeders perform. Regular health checks of the heart and eyes every two years are recommended. Thanks to their active lifestyle, including regular running and swimming, Jack Russells have excellent immunity, and illness is rare. Regular vaccinations against infectious diseases are also important. For grooming, regular brushing is important to remove dead hair and stimulate the skin, even for smooth-coated dogs. Rough-coated dogs require hand stripping to remove dead hair and maintain coat texture. Grooming tools such as soft brushes for smooth coats or stripping knives for rough coats are used. Early grooming habits help keep the coat healthy and the dog comfortable.

01

Character and temper

Corgis are extremely sociable, intelligent, and energetic dogs. They love being close to humans and form strong bonds with their family. They are alert and brave, making them excellent watchdogs despite their small size. Corgis have a herding instinct, are cheerful and playful, but also stubborn – they require consistent training and an appropriate amount of physical and mental activity.

02

Apperance and markings

Welsh Corgi Pembroke is a dog with a characteristic elongated body shape. It has short, strong legs and a distinctive fox-like head. The Pembroke coat is double-layered: a hard, medium-length outer coat and a dense undercoat that protects against cold and moisture. Corgis can also come in a FLUFFY variety - long-haired, which is longer and fluffier. Corgis may have two types of tails - short (NBT) or long. The weight of a Welsh Corgi Pembroke is about 7 - 10 kg, and the height up to 30 cm.

03

Maintenance and health

The coat of a Welsh Corgi Pembroke requires regular brushing, especially during shedding periods as they shed heavily. Baths are needed only every few months or when the dog gets very dirty. Ear and dental hygiene, along with regular nail trimming, are also important. Health-wise, Corgis may be prone to issues related to their body structure, such as spinal problems (disc disease), hip dysplasia, and obesity, which is particularly dangerous due to their short legs. A proper diet and daily exercise are crucial to keep the dog in good condition.
